JARDINS SECRETS, Ode Poétique à l’Art Nouveau

Dans les Jardins Secrets, sous l’azur éclatant,

S’élèvent des coquillages au soleil blanc ardent ;

Leurs volutes de pierre aux teintes de calcaire

Semblent naître à la fois de la garrigue et de l’air.

Nés du feu du Midi, des vents tièdes et secs,

Ils déploient leurs tracés en arabesques flexes ;

Leurs courbes se prolongent en clarté vibrante,

Où la forme s’accorde à la terre vivante.

Ici rien n’est décor, tout devient nécessaire,

Chaque ligne capte un flux, chaque creux le tempère ;

L’ombre devient matière et la vive lumière

Compose avec le vent l’espace et sa sphère.

Horta y trace encore ses élans organiques,

Où le fer se fait tige en gestes dynamiques ;

Gaudí prolonge ici ses reliefs habités,

Où la matière ondule en volumes sculptés ;

Et Gallé fait éclore, en textures sensibles,

Une flore inscrite aux parois végétales visibles.

Mais plus qu’un héritage, s’opère une mutation,

L’ornement devient flux, principe d’adaptation ;

Une sève invisible ordonne ombre et lumière,

Équilibre les échanges, adoucit l’atmosphère.

De Théia à Opale & Sens se prolonge l’écriture,

Où la lumière habite et révèle l’architecture ;

Deux œuvres en écho dessinent la trajectoire,

D’un monde bâti vivant, en dialogue avec l’histoire.

Habiter devient mesure, accord profond au lieu,

Prélever sans épuiser, composer avec le milieu ;

Et l’Art nouveau renaît, en une écriture climatique,

Où le minéral devient organisme symbiotique.

SECRET GARDENS, Poetic Ode to Art Nouveau

In secret gardens, ’neath the azure bright,

Shell-forms arise beneath the sun’s white light;

Their limestone spirals, pale in earthen air,

Seem born of scrub and sky in equal share.

From southern fire and winds both warm and dry,

They trace their lines in supple arcs that lie;

Their curves extend in vibrant clarity,

Where form accords with living earth set free.

Here naught is mere adornment or excess,

Each line draws force, each hollow tempers stress;

The shadow turns to matter in the glare,

And wind composes space with lucid air.

Here Horta’s hand still guides the organic line,

Where iron bends to stems in forms that twine;

And Gaudí shapes these volumes, full and wide,

Where living matter swells in sculpted tide;

While Gallé wakes, through textures soft yet clear,

A floral script in stone made visible here.

Yet more than legacy, a change takes place,

Ornament turns to flux, adaptive grace;

An unseen sap directs both shade and light,

And softens all the air it holds in sight.

From Theia on to Opale & Sens,

The line endures, where light and form commence;

Two works in echo trace a shared trajectory,

Of a living built world in dialogue with history.

To dwell becomes attunement to the ground,

To take, not exhaust, in balance truly found;

And Art Nouveau reborn in climate’s art,

Where mineral becomes symbiotic at heart.
